New Pages at the Click of a ButtonIn addition to the WYSIWYG interface Byond users can use the integrated Content Manager to intuitively navigate through the site. New pages can be added or removed at the click of a button and existing pages edited simply by clicking on the page title. |
Frontend EditingTo make editing the intranet as simple as possible, we have introduced Frontend Editing. This means Users with editing permission can simply navigate to the page which requires modification and click on the edit icon. It is as simple as that. |

Content Search and ReplaceByond online publisher also contains a search and replace facility to enable wholesale changes of content as required (i.e. change of product name, branch address). The system also provides a centralised mechanism for tracking and fixing broken links across the site. These facilities significantly reduce the time required to update the intranet and help to ensure the accuracy of information contained within. |
Individual Permission SettingsWe recognise the importance of restricting viewing and editing access for users on the intranet. Our Intranet Solution allows permissions to be granted per individual. This means while one user may have access to view the Board Meeting Agendas page, they may not be able to view the Board Meeting Minutes page. The same principle works for editing, we understand some staff may have permission to modify some pages and not others. |

User LogsIf you're wondering if all Board Members have been reading their Board Papers, now you can see the proof. The User Logs can monitor which pages on the intranet have been viewed by which users, including staff and board. |
Latest NewsEach organisation uses the Latest News section in a unique way. While some organisations present news related to the organisation, other publish world news or even social news. The Intranet Solution can also allow comments to be published after the news items. This is particularly useful for topical news items. |

Quick PollsQuick Polls are a great way to connect with staff on a variety of topics. This area can ask staff political questions, industry-related queries or even more informal questions such as "where should our next social outing be?" All results are stored in the CMS for later reference. |
Events CalendarThe Events Calendar on the intranet often displays relevant dates such as public holidays, board meetings and staff meetings. However, the Events Calendar can display any type of event including staff leave, staff social events, staff birthdays etc. |

What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG)Byond structures page content as per the intranet to enable easy navigation and editing of pages, hence the acronym WYSIWYG. Byond uses the WYSIWYG interface to enable website editing at the click of a button, users merely click on the edit pencil at the top of the webpage to start editing. Our WYSIWYG interface uses an icon design similar to that of the Microsoft office toolset, therefore many of the editing functions are immediately understood by PC users and require little or no explanation. |
User-friendly and Seamless AccessByond creates a seamless environment for content creation via a simple browser-based interface. Users simply log in through their website and they have full access to a range of features to publish page content. |

Multi-User AuthoringByond online publisher allows for an unlimited number of users; therefore features which prevent content clashing are vitally important. Byond online publisher includes a page ‘lock out’ facility whereby pages in the process of being edited will be locked out to other users until the editing process is complete. In addition, Byond online publisher includes draft/preview functionality which enables page edits to be undertaken over time without the need to go live. This removes the need for users to finalise content changes in one sitting. |
Digital Asset ManagementAuthors are able to easily upload images and files and create hyperlinks (between pages, to documents or external websites). These functions are included within the WYSIWYG and represented by logical icons so that content authors can access these functions at the click of a button. Digital assets such as .pdfs, text files, images, movies, etc can be managed through simple asset management windows. In order to increase efficiency, the system also includes a bulk upload capability. |
